Dear Gardening Friend,
Please find enclosed a selection of seeds from our new, yet-to-be released 2020 range…

I was so pleased when Thompson & Morgan got in touch and asked if I wanted to take part in their seed trials for next season.

I have to say, conducting a seed trial has got to be a first – so I’m interested to see how this can turn out!

The interesting thing about these seed trials is that I won’t know the varieties I’m growing – only the type of plant.

The seed packets have the name of a plant followed by a number. The names of the varieties won’t be released until June 2020.

The seeds I’ll be trialing

Ipomoea
(Morning Glory)
201909

Helianthus (Sunflower)
201906

Tropaeolum (Nasturtium)
201907

Zinnia
201908

Radish
201902

Spinach
201903

Spaghetti Squash
201904

Tomato
201905

Lettuce
201901

From my point of view, this has come as a lovely surprise because in January I decided to have a little hiatus on sowing seeds so that I can concentrate on the plot.

This will allow me to have a little of growing on the go – but not too much so that it will take over my plans.

Many thanks Thompson & Morgan!
